UK Partnership & Fundraising Manager

Salary:                £26,000 - £30,000 per year (based on experience)

Hours:                 35 hours per week

As one of the fastest growing small charities in the UK and a leader in the student fundraising sector we need an experienced fundraiser to manage our award winning, innovative international events and fundraising team and develop further income generating opportunities through new and exciting partnerships.

We currently run two highly impactful and ethical, in-house, short-term volunteering projects (The Gorilla Trek and Uganda Volunteer Project). These projects provide an exceptional ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ experience for our volunteers and raise valuable funds to enable us to give children a positive childhood through play. In addition to managing these awesome fundraising and volunteering initiatives with student groups, Universities and schools, you will have the responsibility to generate new partnership opportunities with businesses to secure additional income to support our work. To excel in your role, you’re going to need to have vision, ambition and charisma, able to engage people from all walks of life and cultivate genuine, positive relationships with our partners. You’re the type of person that is energised by making things happen, solving problems and creating new opportunities and you can bounce back quickly when things don’t quite go to plan. You will be juggling a lot of balls, so you’ve got to be super organised with great time management skills - able to prioritise effectively and think strategically. You will be representing us publicly, so you need to be professional, reliable, trustworthy and enthusiastic with a great sense of fun. Afterall, our organisation believes in the value of play… not just for children but adults too!

We have some very exciting plans in the pipeline.  Your work will be critical to our success – working closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure we have the funds we need to expand our unique work to 10 countries in the next 10 years and support over 5 million children.

As the department is essentially be you 😊, you need to be completely on the ball with your accounting and IT skills, demonstrate the accuracy of a ninja in your work and the flexibility of a contortionist. You need to be professional, reliable, trustworthy and enthusiastic with a great sense of fun. Afterall, our organisation believes in the value of play… not just for children but adults too!
