Sophie Wong Since joining Loughborough University, there have been many opportunities to raise money for charity. I was particularly drawn to East African Playgrounds and have signed up to join the charity as they go to work in Uganda in August 2019. The charity's focus is based on bringing play to children's lives which is something every child should have. A message from the charity states, 'a playground is a classroom in disguise, children don't know they are learning, they don't feel like they are learning, but really they are taking in the whole world whilst playing with their friends'. As a result, I will raise £2,000 to help bring the gift of play to the children of Uganda.

In addition to building the playground, I will be going to Uganda trek to find the last remaining Silverback Mountain Gorilla's as well as living and working within a local community.

I am very excited to see what myself and the charity can do next August and so, I would be very grateful for any donations towards my fundraising.

A breakdown of where the costs go can be found at https://www.eastafricanplaygrounds.org/gorilla-trek-details

Thank you :) Sophie Wong
