Susannah Moore I've signed up with the amazing charity East African Playgrounds to raise £2000 to give children their childhood back through play. Play has an incredible benefit on a child's development; I believe every child should have this opportunity as it builds physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills, whilst giving them the space in which to make sense of the world and exercise freedom of thought. East African Playgrounds builds playgrounds all over Uganda helping to empower some of the worlds most disadvantaged children.

I'm sure we can all agree that ensuring children have somewhere safe to play is incredibly important, many of us spent our childhoods running around the fields at school and climbing on the jungle gym. But there are thousands of children in Uganda that just don't get that privilege. During my time in Uganda I will also be assisting on the creative play programme to inspire the children to learn and explore.

Examples of what you can fund with a donation are...
£10 - Builds a toy giraffe for the children of a community to play with
£15 - Builds a motorbike out of tires, allowing kids to engage their creativity in role-play scenarios
£20 - Funds safety equipment for a disadvantaged young adult, helping them to be safe as they start their meaningful employment with East African Playgrounds
£50 - Builds a table with space for board games such as checkers or snakes and ladders!

Once I have raise this money, I will be spending 3 weeks in Uganda - taking on every kind of terrain the world can offer (mountains, lakes and jungles) before volunteering on a playground build. Every penny donated will go to the non-profit charity focussed on developing East Africa.

Please donate anything you can, as every donation really makes a difference to this wonderful charity. Susannah Moore
