I've decided to sign up to the Ugandan Gorilla trek challenge to raise £2000 in aid of East African playgrounds. I believe that every child has the right to play and the right to a childhood. East African Playgrounds are situated in refugee camps across Uganda, therefore some of the world's most disadvantaged children will have the opportunity to build social, emotional and cognitive skills through play. I will be spending three weeks trekking across Uganda facing a variety of terrains, before then volunteering with the building of a playground. Every penny raised will go to a non-profit organisation aiding with further developments in East Africa. Of the £2000 that I aim to raise £300 will go to the Ugandan Wildlife Authority to help conservation efforts for the silverback Gorillas, £600 will go to the non-profit trek company, 'The Home of Edirisa', who support the communities that I will be trekking through. Additionally, the remaining £1,100 will go directly to East African playgrounds to fund their projects.

All donations will be greatly appreciated. Lets ensure every child is given a childhood.
