Alongside the charity East African Playgrounds, I will be helping a team of volunteers to build a playground for a school with some of the worlds most disadvantaged children. Not only is play fun, playing has an enormous benefit on children's development through physical, cognitive, emotional and social skills. For those of you who know me well enough, there is a major part of me that would like to make life a whole lot better for all children. This project is just a small step towards that but it will make a huge difference for the children that will be able to use and treasure this playground throughout their time at school. Play is an essential part of childhood but unfortunately children in places such as Uganda are not quite as lucky as us here in the UK.

Examples of what you can fund with a donation are...
£10 - Builds a toy giraffe for the children of a community to play with
£15 - Builds a motorbike out of tires, allowing kids to engage their creativity in role-play scenarios
£20 - Funds safety equipment for a disadvantaged young adult, helping them to be safe as they start their meaningful employment with East African Playgrounds
£50 - Builds a table with space for board games such as checkers or snakes and ladders!

I would love to smash this fundraising target and I have plenty of ideas but it would be lovely for you to donate whatever you can.

Thank you,

Soph x

P.S. promise I will bring home loads of pictures to show you what I managed to do and how happy those beautiful children were when they finally had their playground!!
