Next July, for 3 weeks, I will be exploring Uganda with a charity called East African playgrounds, which I will be fundraising £2000 for and over half of which will be donated to charity to improve the lives of locals and indigenous species. The charity builds playgrounds in refugee settlements and each playground will benefit 1500 children. Playing has a huge impact on the development of a child by enhancing their social, physical and cognitive skills. I have an amazing opportunity to live and volunteer within a local community to transform an empty space into a colourful playground which both the children and community can enjoy. Furthermore, I will be participating in a creative play programme at school to gain a greater understanding of the lives of children in Uganda and to inspire them to learn.

I will be holding many different fundraising events throughout the year, for example cake sales and a stall on the Christmas market to meet my goal of £2000. Thank you for your time and all funds are greatly appreciated as I have always wanted to offer my help to people less fortunate than myself .

Many Thanks,

Rhianne
