East African Playgrounds is an amazing charity that provides play programs for disadvantaged communities across Uganda. Play is crucial for the development of children mentally and physically. But unfortunately some children in Uganda don't have the facilities to enable these creative activities and instead are having to help out at home of find work. Due to the lack of facilities for the number of children in schools, the teaching limits the children's creativity. East African Playgrounds work with teachers and other members of the community to provide more play within their learning and to encourage more creativity. Each playground built by the charity is designed specifically for the community it is being built for so that the playground is more beneficial.

Over 3 weeks in the summer of 2018 I will be travelling to Uganda as part of a team to build a playground in a local school. Along with this I will be assisting in a creative program and working with the children. After building the playground I will be able to see the children using it for the first time. This will show the impact the playground will have on a community.

As part of the trip to Uganda I will be trekking across various terrains and will visit and track the last remaining wild Silverback Gorillas. A proportion of the money I raise will go towards conservation of these critically endangered species.

If you could help with my fundraising any contributions made would be brilliant. Thank you for helping me raise funds for these two good causes.
