Miranda Sealy I've signed up to the Gorilla Trek with the charity, East African Playgrounds, to raise £2,000 to help bring the gift of play to the children of Uganda.

I will be going on a mountain trek to find the last remaining Silverback Mountain Gorilla's whilst supporting the local rangers who are looking after these endangered creatures. Then I will be living and working within a local community to build a playground for a nearby school.

Play has an incredible impact on a child's development and I believe every child should have this opportunity because it builds physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills. East African playgrounds build playgrounds across Uganda- including refugee camps- helping some of the worlds most disadvantaged children. Each playground will benefit over 1500 children, and EAP maintain their relationship with each school so that they can return and make sure the playground is well maintained

Every donation is hugely appreciated, and they all make a difference:

£25 could provide a small herd of toy animals for the children to play on

£100 could fund a one-month educational play programme

£250 could give the children the best climbing frame they (or you) have ever seen!

A breakdown of where the costs go can be found at https://www.eastafricanplaygrounds.org/gorilla-trek-details

*please note, if you are a relative of mine you cannot gift aid your donation-according to charity law. Miranda Sealy
