Laura Midson I've signed up to the Gorilla Trek with the charity, East African Playgrounds to raise £1,000 to help bring the gift of play to the children of Uganda. As well as getting to experience the culture and beautiful landscape of Uganda, I will be living and working in a local rural community to help build playground for the school.

A playground is a classroom in disguise, children don't know they are learning, they don't feel like they are learning, but really they are taking in the whole world whilst playing with their friends. In the UK we are lucky enough to be able to learn and develop through play with our friends on a regular basis, with a surplus of facilities right at our doorstep. However, the children in Uganda are not quite as fortunate, with a rote learning system and a muddy field with no stimulation as a form of entertainment outside the classroom.

I have previously raised £3,000 for charities here in the UK by undertaking other international challenges and I am excited to continue to raise money to help another worthwhile charity and cause! I want to give this gift to the children of Uganda, can you please help by donating towards my fundraising. Please donate to my page to help give the children of Uganda the gift of play!
