Jessamyn Radford This summer I will be going to Uganda with the charity East African Playgrounds. I will be going on a trek to find the last remaining Silverback Mountain Gorillas, as well as living and working within a local community to build a playground for a school.

I am aiming to raise £2000 to help bring the gift of play to the children in Uganda. Play is essential for a child's growth and development. It builds physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills, and is something that every child deserves.

East African Playgrounds build playgrounds across Uganda - including refugee camps - helping empower some of the world’s most disadvantaged children. £5.11 gives one child access to a fun, safe and child-focussed playground. This is an incredible opportunity to work within a team of Ugandan professionals and other volunteers to build a playground that will benefit every child at that school for years to come.

I am also fundraising for my flights, so any money that I raise above the £2000 can be reimbursed by East African Playgrounds to me, up to the cost of my flight.

Please help me reach my fundraising target by giving whatever you can - any donation will make a difference and will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support!
