Aaliyah Ramnarine I have teamed up with the charity East African Playgrounds to raise £2000 and give the gift of play to some of the world's most disadvantaged children. You'd be surprised how benefical play can be to a child's healthy development. I hate how unfair it is that not all children get this opportunity. Although, these schools in Uganda have fields to play in they have no exciting stimulus to engage with. A playground helps build physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills, whilst giving them the space to make sense of the world and excersie freedom of thought.

Of the £2000 I raise...
£300 will go to the Uganda Wildlife Authority to help the conservation effrots of the gorilla I will be visiting.
£600 will go on the project costs, most of which will go to the non-project trek company, the Home of Edirisa, who support the communities will we trek through.
The remaining £1,100 will go directly to the East African Playgrounds to fund their incredible work.

Your donations will be funding the playground and helping provide the children with a better way of life. Anything above the £2000 will help me pay for the travelling to Uganda myself. But more importantly here's a few examples of how your donations can make a difference in countries like Uganda...

£5.11 gives one child thier childhood back through access to a safe, fun and child-focussed playground.

£21.83 educates a teacher on the importance of including play in education and creates a peer network for them to share their learning in.

£197.61 trains a former street child for a month, helping them to become a qualified builder or welder through our apprenticeship scheme.

I am extremely excited to go to Uganda and help make a difference to these children's lives so please contribute too if you can. Thank you so much for your donations, I am so grateful for all your help!
