Children in Uganda are some of the most deprived in the world and don't have the same luxuries in schooling as are available in the UK. The education system in Uganda consists of large classes being lectured by a teacher with little interaction and engagement. Unsurprisingly, this isn't effective. However building playgrounds in the schools helps to improve the children's attendance and interest in learning, so helps to increase the quality of their education. When we're building the playground, locals will be trained in valuable skills such as metal work and brick laying. This creates a massive positive impact on the community. This is an incredible opportunity to become immersed in such a rich, vibrant culture while making a real and valuable difference
