Grace Taylor Hi, my name is Grace and I am a student at the University of Nottingham. Next summer I am going on the Gorilla Trek with the charity East African Playgrounds. The time I spend in Uganda will be split between trekking to see the gorillas and volunteering at a Ugandan school by helping to build a playground. I chose to volunteer with East African playgrounds because play is an essential part of a child's education and development and is crucial in allowing children to really experience the freedom and excitement of childhood, giving them escape from the adult roles and responsibilities that children in developing countries have to bear. I am really excited to be able to experience a different culture at the same time as helping to improve the lives of African children but I need your help to do it! I aim to raise £2000 of which £600 will go towards my accommodation and food, both of which are provided by locals. £300 will go towards the Ugandan Wildlife Authority for the conservation of gorillas and £1100 will contribute towards the building of the playground. Any donations would be so very greatly appreciated. Thank you! Grace Taylor
