George Pinder My Name is George Pinder. I'm currently studying fine art degree at Loughborough University. I was born and raised in Leeds and have lived most of my life with my mum and my elder brother. I have been lucky enough to travel the world and see some amazing sights, experiencing other cultures and ways of life. However, if I'm honest this has always been in affluent countries and mostly staying in nice hotels and eating in lovely restaurants. But life's not like that for everyone, right?

At 19 its now time for me to have other experiences and place myself in new situations, and experience other people's way of life. This Trek provides me with the opportunity to support and help children and their communities, maybe showing them how to drawn and paint, building something that in my country we just take for granted, but will have an impact on the quality of life for the people I will be privileged to meet and help. I love the natural world so this is a huge opportunity for me to experience nature whilst doing something worthwhile and massively educational for me as part of my life experiences and goals.

Please help me with any donation large or small, every little helps these communities. My target is to raise £2,000 for the East African Playgrounds project, anything over that will help towards my travel to Africa and my living expenses whilst there. Thanks for reading this and for any donation you're able to give! George Pinder
