Jeevan Matharu With Uganda in my roots, I wanted to participate in a charitable activity which gives the young children a chance to experience the childhood that we take for granted in the Western world. We have all been blessed in our childhood, with memories to laugh back on. My personal aim is to ignite that feeling into children who have the bare minimum, to create memories of their own.

A playground is a classroom in disguise, children don't know they are learning, they don't feel like they are learning, but really they are taking in the whole world whilst playing with their friends.

I am going to Uganda for two weeks to live and work within a local primary school to help build a playground.

I've signed up to the Uganda Volunteer Project with the charity, East African Playgrounds to raise at least £800 to help bring the gift of play to the children of Uganda. This money will go towards the building of the playground, the educational play and vocational programmes.

With your help in raising this money, together we can contribute to the fulfilling and carefree childhood these children deserve.
