Freya Hunt As some of you may already know, I have signed up with the charity East African Playgrounds. This summer, I will be spending four weeks in Uganda building a playground for a local community school, as well as, assisting on a creative play programme to inspire children at a school to learn, explore and develop themselves.

In order to carry out the build, I need to raise £800 which will go directly to East African Playgrounds to help fund the materials and resources needed to build the playground and run the educational play programmes. Examples of what you can fund with your donation are:
£10 – builds a toy giraffe for the children of a community to play with.
£15 – builds a motorbike out of tires, allowing kids to engage their creativity in role play scenarios.
£20 – funds safety equipment for a disadvantaged young adult, helping them to be safe as they start meaningful employment with East African Playgrounds.
£50 – builds a table with space for board games such as checkers or snakes and ladders.

This experience means a lot to me as I have been passionate about supporting children’s learning and development for a number of years and have been working towards extending my knowledge and skills through my academic studies. I believe every child should have the opportunity to have a stimulating environment in which to learn and exercise freedom of thought.

Please help me reach my fundraising target by giving whatever you can – any donation will mean a lot. Freya Hunt
