Frankie Tidy I'm jetting off to Africa this summer, to take part in the Gorilla Trek alongside the charity East African Playgrounds. I've signed up to raise £2,000 to give children their childhood through the use of play.
Play has an incredible benefit on a child's development, not only physically but socially, emotionally and cognitively too. The playground I will help build with a group of amazing individuals, will provide the children with a safe space, where they can make sense of the world and exercise freedom of thought. East African Playgrounds builds playgrounds all over Uganda - including refugee camps - helping to empower some of the world's most disadvantaged children.

How can you help? Donate!
Examples of what you can fund with a donation:
£10 - builds a toy giraffe for the children of a community to play with.
£15 - builds a motorbike out of tires, allowing the children to engage with their imaginations in role-play.
£20 - funds safety equipment for a disadvantaged young adult, helping them to be safe as they start their meaningful employment with East African Playgrounds.
£50 - builds a table with space for board games such as checkers or snakes and ladders!

Once I've reached my target, I'll be spending three weeks in Uganda - taking on mountains, lakes and jungles - before reaching my final destination where I will be volunteering on a playground build myself.

**Every penny donated will go to a non-profit organisation focussed on developing East Africa**

So please donate as generously as you can, and help give the children of East Africa their childhoods. Frankie Tidy
