Unverified User I am a 21 year old student from Leeds studying History. I saw this opportunity in the Student Union and signed up straight away. I hope to raise £2000 over the next year in order to bring the gift of play to young people. Studies have shown that the opportunity to play helps children develop social skills and make sense of the world and I hope to bring this opportunity to a group of children in Uganda. East African Playgrounds also employs and trains disadvantaged street children from refugee camps and Ugandan cities to become welders, builders and engineers another aspect of the charity which is very appealing for me.
Examples of what the money can raise:

£10 builds a toy giraffe for the children of a community to play with
£15 builds a toy motorbike out of tires, allowing kids to engage their creativity in roleplay scenarios
£20 funds safety equipment for a disadvantaged young adults, helping them to be safe as they start their employment with East African Playgrounds
£50 builds a table with space for board games for the children to develop social skills.

Any donations are super welcome!!!!
