Amelia Noake I've signed up to the Uganda Volunteer Project with the charity, East African Playgrounds to raise a minimum of £800 to help bring the gift of play to the children of Uganda.

I will be going to Uganda for a month in July 2019 to live and work within a local primary school to help build a playground.

A playground is a classroom in disguise, children don't know they are learning, they don't feel like they are learning, but really they are taking in the whole world whilst playing with their friends. Play is an essential tool to help children grow and develop, and has been shown to be beneficial for everything from social skills, cognitive abilities and problem solving, to fine motor skills, concentration, communication, imagination, and self-control. It’s been shown that adding play to a child’s life can lead to significantly raised IQs, greater achievement at school and even higher rates of employment and wages in adulthood.

I want to give this gift to the children of Uganda, can you please help by donating towards my fundraising.
