I have been given the chance of a lifetime to support The East African Playgrounds charity in Uganda, to enable children to enjoy their childhood through play. EVERY child deserves the opportunity to be exactly that, a child. Not only this, but it is beneficial to their emotional, physical, social and cognitive development. East African playgrounds also provide apprenticeship schemes for adults in the local community. I am fundraising, with the aim of £800, to enable the build of playgrounds all over Uganda- including refugees camps.
Examples of what we can fund with a donation include:
£10- builds a toy giraffe for the children in a community to play with
£15- builds a motor bike out of trees, allowing children to engage in role play
£20- funds safety equipment for disadvantaged young adults, helping them to be safe as they start their employment with East African playgrounds
£50- builds a table for children to play board games such as snakes and ladders and checkers

This trip will commence this summer, whereby I will be joined by a team of trained Ugandan professionals and my fellow volunteers to build a playground in Uganda. Any donation will go a long way and be appreciated!
