in 2018 i will be traveling to Uganda and trekking across all terrains before spending some time building a very special playground for the children of this area who unfortunately are forced to grow up far to early. East african playgrounds is a charity which has already helped so many communities across Africa, providing a form of charity which is so often overlooked but just as important. the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child states that every child has the right to play, a feature of childhood which we all enjoyed but perhaps take for granted, in some countries, however, this basic right can not always be up held. Play provides countless proven benefits including social skills, cognitive abilities, problem solving and fine motor skills, all of which help to propel these children into better potential jobs and better futures, and so its importance can not be understated.
From now to the day of my flight i will be trying to raise as much money as i can for this charity aiming for around £2000. this will be a huge challenge and i would be very grateful for anything that anyone could donate, every little goes a long way!
This is an idea of what your money could go towards...
£10- builds a toy giraffe for the children to play with
£15- builds a motorbike out of tires, allowing kids to engage with their creativity
£20- funds safety equipment for a disadvantage young adult, helping them to be safe as they start their meaningful employment with East African Playgrounds
£25- could provide a small herd of toy animals for the children to play on
£50- could build a table with space for items like board games
£100- could fund one-month educational play programme
£250- could give the children the best climbing frame they (or you) have ever seen
LETS MAKE THIS HAPPEN !!!
Thankyou xx
