What about tax avoidance, money laundering and proceeds of crime legislation? We already have safe guards and policies to both monitor donations, how we receive them and from whom we receive them. We are follow the fundraising regulators fundraising standards along with those regulations set out by the Charity commission. If an anonymous donation exceeds £25,000 (or the equivalent in cryptocurrency) we will notify the charities commission as per their guidance. We’ve also evaluated and renewed our policy regarding any requests for refunds on donations. Cryptocurrencies payments are irreversible by the sender, so any refund requests would need to be made by request to East African Playgrounds in writing for our board to assess in line with our refunds and returns policy and in line with the regulations on Tax Avoidance, money laundering and proceeds of crime. (or just say donations are non-refundable).
