Trustee - Rob Taylor

Rob obtained a law degree at Lancaster University between 1996 and 1999 and went on to study the LPC at the College of Law, Chester, between 1999 and 2000. He completed his training contract with Ricksons, now DWF, in Manchester between 2000 and 2002 and qualified as a solicitor in 2002. Rob initially worked in Commercial Litigation before becoming a specialised Insolvency and Restructuring Lawyer from 2002 onwards. He remained in private practice until 2009, latterly with Irwin Mitchell LLP before starting his own commercial turnaround and troubleshooting practice in 2009. In April 2016 he co-founded ACI Financial Ltd, an asset based lending business, bringing an in house legal function to the business. Rob has a long standing affinity with Uganda, having lived and worked in Kampala for a short period of time in 2006, as part of a twinning arrangement between a regional UK Law Society and the Ugandan Law Society. There, he provided training to Ugandan Lawyers and facilitated a legal aid scheme providing access to legal services for those that could not normally afford them. He joined EAP as a Trustee in 2017 to provide support to the good work the team were undertaking, providing children’s playgrounds to Ugandan children.
