Welcome to our new blog. For those of you who do not know me, I am Carla, founder and CEO of the charity, East African Playgrounds.

I have wanted to start a blog for East African Playgrounds for a long time. But I wanted to share with you more than the number of playgrounds we have built. So I have created a blog which will share with you the nitty gritty of running a charity; what is at the heart of EAP, how Uganda chose us and what drives us forward.

However first and foremost, before we begin, let me tell you a little more about myself and East African Playgrounds.

Three facts about me

  1. I am happiest when outside exploring the rural areas on a horse, skis or on a bike. Followed by a cosy night in, making things or playing games.
  2. In the winter I can often be found in the UK whilst in the summer I’ll be in Uganda. Which I know, is the wrong way around!
  3. I’ve been described by an 8 year old as ‘the bossy one with glasses’. Not my proudest moment however it's likely to be the most truthful. Kids say it how it is!

About East African Playgrounds

Equally, I best introduce East African Playgrounds to you. Conveniently enough, we have just had a new video made which sums the charity up perfectly. So, have a watch, a like and a share!

That is it for now, if you want to hear more from me then subscribe to the blog below, see you next time!
