Why do we need to fundraise and receive donations?
The amount of money that East African Playgrounds is able to raise is dependent on the generosity of donees, volunteer’s fantastic fundraising and the sustained support of our Friends. All of the money raised goes towards building playgrounds. Without these funds we really wouldn’t be able to do what we do.
Why do we ask our volunteers to fundraise?
We do not charge a fee from our volunteers, but we do ask them to raise a minimum of £500. This money goes directly into buying the materials needed to build the playground. The average cost of a playground is £5000 and it is only possible for us to continue building if volunteers continue fundraising.
